My brother!

Sunday, February 24, 2008

I recently got some pictures and an update on my brother. He has been busy flying throughout Iraq, visiting and counseling soliders. He has shared that it is very cold where he is and all desert surroundings. In a recent email, he wrote that he has been able to find time to fish...one of his favorite pasttimes. He only has a few lures and had found a pole. He wrote that the fish are biting like crazy and catching 14 inches and larger fish. He is trying to be conservative with the casting of his lures to avoid snagging on the brush in the water.

Here is one of the pictures he sent...he's second in from the left, Chaplain Garcia. The man with the big, scary gun and sporty glasses, is his assistant...A.K.A. bodyguard. To read more about my brother's story, click here.

Wow. All I can say is that his/your story brought tears to my eyes. Hope he stays incredibly safe and finds a release in catching all those fish--can we send him some lures? He sounds like a wonderful person and you are such a compassionate, loving sister.
