Fellow photo girl!

Thursday, January 24, 2008

Yesterday I had the awesome opportunity to photograph a fellow photographer's family. As photographers, we are typically behind the camera and have few pictures that prove our own existence. This was her first nice family picture ever taken...and a first solo shoot for her business. She said she felt like a senior again...getting her portraits done that is.
As a photographer, I think it's good to have our own regular family sessions. To experience what our clients go through. Wardrobe preparation...threatening our children to be on their best behavior...bribing our husbands...and most importantly remembering to not always look at the camera.
Her little girl just melts the camera with one look!

Check that hair....AAAAA-dorable!

I love #1, #4, and #7. I am a sucker for black and white and those kids are adorable! And your color on #1 is great.

I love that you're taking photos now. Why weren't you doing this when we were roommates? That way we could have had much cooler art on our walls. Hahah. Love ya!
