Growing up | Chandler Child Photographer

If I remember correctly, I began photographing these cousins 5 years ago.  I smile thinking of how much they've grown.  How I was lucky to see them when they were carefree preschoolers, sweet kinders and then the shy little age.

At the start of the session, I was blown away to see how big they've gotten since it's been almost two years since the last time I saw them for their own family sessions.  These two sweeties are cousins and party of one incredibly sweet and sincere family!

The session was fun of course, but, it got better when I was photographing Annaka and her dog and heard her tell her dog...yes, I told you, Mrs. Tami is pretty crazy funny!

Yep, these kids know all my tricks and photographing them is like visiting with my nieces and nephews!  Being able to get to know my clients over the years makes sessions a breeze.  There's no period of getting to know eachother...the parents tend to just hang out by the car while their kids and I have fun catching up, looking for bugs, laughing together from the random things I'll say and parting ways with a big hug!

This session was super special for me...why? Just days before the session, I chatted with her parents to hear them tell me she's in a fun phase in her life and it was important to them to let you show it off during her session.  The phase of having serious fashion sense and owning the style she loves to wear each day!  I LOVED that!  They embraced her independence and they'll forever have that fun memory!

It's always a treat when we can find ladybugs during a session.  If you look closely, you can see the ladybug that Annaka had her eye on!
She loved the ladybugs...but seeing the occasional carpenter bee had her a little worried!  LOVE the worried look.:)
