My brother is finally home.
Home from Iraq. Home in America. Home with this family.
My brother returned home a couple weeks ago but I hadn't hugged him until today. While I was itching to drive faster than any speed limit set...he needed to be with his family. Be with his daughters.
It was good to be with him. To look at him and know he won't be returning...at least not any time soon. I couldn't help but just listen in awe of all he saw while he was there. My brother toured the majority of Iraq, servicing soldiers all over as he is a Chaplain, that holds a Captain ranking and returned home awarded with a bronze star for his service. He was rarely in one place for more than 5 days for the entire 15 months there. I only heard a small handful of his experiences there but heard enough to be humbled by his service and the service our soldiers are doing there.
The little darling was born 7 months into his tour...
He was able to come home for her arrival (view HERE) and will now have a chance to get to know his daughter.
