Today I received very grave news...the kind of news that should never be heard, never be spoken and never wished upon any family. The news that a baby has cancer....liver cancer.
This sweet little guy is the nephew to one of my sweetest and most giving clients. I had the blessing to photograph him, not once, but twice this fall alone and with his cousins. I can confidently write that he is unconditionally loved, cradled, and cherished deeply by his cousins, parents and family. He is DEFINITELY not short in the department of love!
Two weeks ago, his parents received the news that he has a tumor on his liver. However, they couldn't remove it due to it's location and being life threatening. Instead, they have begun chemo therapy to reduce the tumor's size and with prayer, safely remove it. In addition to the chemo, he has been placed on a liver donor list. If it is removed, his prognosis is good.

How do things like this happen to sweet precious babies that love life and bring joy, happiness and love to those they come in contact with? With one glance of sweet G, or any baby, it would bring life to the grumpiest face. Make anyone smile, remember the fleeting, happy, precious and energizing days of a new life.
Sweet G has tough days ahead of him. His parents have tough days that will challenge their endurance to take on each tough moment in watching their precious first and only child endure the medical care he is receiving and needing.
I'm reaching out to each of you, by asking you to join his family in prayer. In the power of prayer to give his parents and family strength, to find the wisdom in coming to peace with the unanswered question of "WHY?" To give sweet G moments in each day to live the happiness each baby deserves to live in, to smile, to enjoy the simple joys without pain, and to be strong with the tough road ahead of him.

But at this point, I will be putting my faith in the power of prayer. I'm reaching out and asking each of you to join his family and I in prayer.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I'm located in south Gilbert, Arizona. I have twin daughters and one little boy...between the three of them, they keep my days busy between gymnastics and soccer. My children and husband are my biggest support each day.

I am lifting up prayers though teary eyes.

What a sweet, sweet baby boy. From what you described, Tami, you absolutely captured his loving and wonderful personality. I hope only the best for little G and his family during this difficult time.
Bless his little heart. I will be praying for him and his family.
