After chatting with a photographer friend and new photographer friend...I couldn't resist posting a personal favorite from a recent session.
So often during sessions, I can get lost in shooting for the client that I forget to shoot for myself. Meaning, photographing my clients in an angle, lighting, mood or position that most likely won't be a favorite of theirs but definitely of mine. This picture is one of a few personal favorites that speaks volumes to me.
AND below too! A photographer can't stage the look of completion and pride in a mother's eyes...the proud father seeing pure perfection and feeling adoration for his newborn son. I look at this picture and think how happy this baby will be in 20 years when he has a picture to remember how his parents felt when he arrived.
If I've photographed you, then you most likely have heard me step onto my dime box as to why I'm a lover of black and white photography. I'll spare everyone another talk on my box...but just know, I process black and whites only in this format for a reason. Meaning, the mood, emotion and message shouldn't have to compete with colors that can distract from the pure emotion in a black and white portrait.
