While I was in Seattle, the highlight of my trip was spending time with my Great Uncle Gene. My Uncle Gene was recently diagnosed with cancer and is faced with the cancer battle ahead of him.
I honestly can't think of a time where I didn't love being with him. While my Uncle should have stayed home since he had a pretty serious outpatient surgery the day before we met...he headed out to meet us for dinner. And when I asked him if he was should be driving into Seattle to visit....his response...
"They say the good die young and, well, I'm still here. I'm sure I'll be fine another day." This man cracks me up!
He also cracks up another woman. Several years ago his wife, my Great Aunt, passed away. Little did we all realize that there was another woman that was perfect for him. Meet his amazing wife Joyce. I met her about 6 years ago, shortly after they were married and I can honestly say that I LOVE this woman!

You have to be spunky to keep up with my Great Uncle! AND she finds a way to keep his pace. They have an incredible relationship. The kind of relationship I hope to still have with my husband when we reach this stage in life.

Uncle Gene ... I love you!

Thank you for visiting my blog. I'm located in south Gilbert, Arizona. I have twin daughters and one little boy...between the three of them, they keep my days busy between gymnastics and soccer. My children and husband are my biggest support each day.
