Just getting back!

{warning: picture overload}
On Friday, we loaded up the car and headed North. We decided we needed a little break from the heat. I can't begin to express enough how grateful we are that my husband's parents have a cabin in the White Mountains. At the end of each trip, we find it harder and harder to come back to the heat.

Each trip is filled with tons of relaxation! Which includes, having daily picnics at a lake, fishing, walks, tons of sitting on the porch, hanging in pajamas, and eating yummy food! The only difference with this trip was not being able to enjoy a delicious glass of wine or my father-in-law's ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS margaritas while hanging on the porch. It's the kind of margarita where if he told how he made it, he'd probably have to kill you! That, and I want his recipe all to myself! Lip smacking good! But...with the bun in my oven, I opted for water!

Here are just a few of my favorite details...a few of an out of control amount!
Now, before you can say..."What is with this chimney?" I always drive by this chimney on our way fishing and it has always stood out to me. It is just a little piece of history in McNary, AZ. A town full of history.
One of the many random wildflowers. If I had been maybe a week earlier, I would have been able to capture fields full of these wild Iris'. I was lucky to find one still in bloom.
I'm always in awe of the tall Aspen's that fill the White Mountains.
And the gorgeous green fields.

I took more pictures than usual on this trip. But one thing I learned is my girls are turning out to be more goofballs in front of the camera. Actually, very similar to me. You can ask any friend of mine and find that I almost ALWAYS doing something dumb or goofy when I'm getting my picture taken. Why? Well, I feel very AKWARD in front of the camera and I guess that's how I deal with it... Maybe there's a 12 step program for that....How to cope with getting your picture taken!

My husband took these pictures. Which are just a couple from the series of pics...he was shooting paparazzi style!

A friend of ours caught a dragonfly and my blonde C was loving it...literally loving it!

Two friends of ours...a grandson and his grandfather! Loved how they sat the same.
