Breathtaking!

I just, and I mean just, came home from an amazing weekend in Carmel, California. While the weekend was incredibly short, I spent every single second getting an eyeful of the beauty that defines Carmel. We flew over to Carmel for a friend's destination wedding that was in Big Sur...another breathtaking location.

I could go on and on about the wedding but I have no pictures to share. I opted to leave my camera back at the adorable lodge we stayed in. I have to admit, I DON'T own a digital point and shoot camera...so when I bring my DSLR camera on trips with me, I feel it deserves it's own BabyBjorn carrier since I treat it as my third baby. Point is...I didn't feel up to babysitting my camera gear. My husband literally had to talk me calmly out of the room. And, I guess that rational I just typed out sounds like the first step in a twelve step program for an "How to accept my camera isn't ACTUALLY a member of my family". First step being...acceptance!

Anyways...here is a little bit of an eyefull of Carmel!
{entrance to Carmel Baseball store}
{the entrance to a home right outside my room}--I WANT THAT DOOR, IVY...EVERYTHING!
{my fantabulous husband....Carmel was a bonus to the time I had with him!}
{another wonderful entrance to a home in Carmel}
-The homes thoughout "Carmel by the Sea" often started with stunning entrances. I couldn't help but think of the book, The Secret Garden! I would have loved to be Mary Lennox and see what was behind this door.
{one of several roof tops in Carmel}
{Pebble Beach}
-My husband's aunt and uncle frequent this course and gave us the grand tour!

{the lone Cyprus tree}

-This tree is just south (I believe) of Pebble Beach.

{Carmel city hall sign}
{one of a gazillion sweet entrances}

We stayed at Lobos Lodge in Carmel. The lodge was cute, sweet, intimate, and adorned with gorgeous flowers. The potted Geranium below caught my eye with the wrap of a simple, small plant at the bottom.

I could spend every morning, for the rest of my life, waking up to this beauty.
