I was lucky enough to have an amazing connection to getting on a waiting list for an amazing instructor. After waiting 8 months, my girls finally began their lessons.
At the start of these lessons, each lesson was filled with screams, cries and clinging to my leg. This lasted for months and at times, I wondered if it was even worth it. But it is...and I stuck it out! Now I have two happy, swimming fishies. It's amazing to see what my girls can do in the water now...all at the age of two.
Our amazing teacher, laughed at my children with photographer kids syndrome and I think felt bad for me. Next thing I knew, she told my C to look at me because I had candy! And I didn't even tell about the magic of candy. And yes, my C's enjoyed their candy once we were in the car. Thank heavens I had some with me.
Right now they're working on learning to swim Freestyle.
Unfortunately, after 28 years of teaching children to swim, their teacher is retiring in August. I'm working on finding a replacement program that teaching a swimming curriculum year round.
Any ideas?
