Today I met with the mommy, Miss A, of the super fun, Mr. C. She was cracking me up when she retold the session completely different than it actually was. She recalled it as him being uncooperative and hardly smiling.
I guess I can understand how parents get this perspective. The parents are often off to the side, just watching fun going on between their child and I...often covering their eyes and peeking through their fingers, horrified in thinking their child is being a terror. But what the parents see is often the polar opposite of what I'm capturing in my camera. A typical toddler session starts out like this...
Then turns to this...
And ends with this! When photographing toddlers, it is all about moving fast and shooting fast.
And, to finally share my all time favorite picture from this session.

That was cracking me up hearing mom's perspective then yours. As parents, we often think our children are MUCH worse than they actually are. LOVED every single picture and how you wrote about them. Keep up your great work! LYG, N
